For many organisations, Learning Management systems (LMS) or LXP (learning experience platforms) are the preferred vehicle for hosting and deploying learning content due to the tracking and management audit features. However, less than 30% of organisations have implemented or maintain regular use of some form of dedicated content management system for their internal training.
Some organisations find them difficult to implement and maintain or simply to justify the expense in relation to their use. In larger organisations it can be difficult to have new learning content loaded and maintained quickly or there may be other reasons to want the hosting outside of the central learning system.
In these types of scenarios, organisations are seeking a quick and low-effort method for hosting learning content for specific projects or deploying for on-going learning activities.
