The Cognito solution can be installed as a push notification – where MS Teams acts as an access point to the questions (as with the daily email) or it can be a full integration. With the full integration, the user is able to receive their question notifications and receive and answer their questions through MS teams.

Additionally, the learner will receive notification of their streaks, be able to see their stats (and position on the leader board) all from inside the MS teams environment.

Holidays can also be accessed through MS Teams so that the user can see what is already booked and also add additional holidays for when their Cognito question delivery will be supressed.

Interoperable flexibility

We understand the need for client flexibility especially in organisations where users can be in different locations and with disparate IT environments.

A customer may have a need to create a solution where some users will have a preference for email delivery, others may prefer MS teams or even a dedicated mobile app solution (IOS and Android). Indeed, some individual users may require MS Teams when in the office and an alternative when they are out and about.

With Cognito the solution is flexible and entirely interoperable. If it is the customers preference, Learners can operate with multiple options for receiving content and the system seamlessly caters for that flexibility.

Technical Integration

The Cognito MS Teams app can either be installed by the user (providing IT make the app available) or it can be auto-enrolled by the IT team to the company MS Teams build to deliver a quick registration of Cognito to a larger enterprise customer environment.

Customers have the flexibility of either a push notification install – where MS Teams acts as an access point to the questions – or full integration where the user is able to receive their full question experience, plus statistics and holiday management within their MS teams application.

For security and simplicity of operation, we recommend SSO (Single Sign On) for MS Teams implementations. Integration also has management benefits in an International setting where elements such as language and time zones (for question delivery) can be accessed via MS Teams / Active Directory.
